Q: What is HappyToon?

A: HappyToon is an AI cartoon animator mobile application. We provide face animation, face to cartoon (aka cartoonification), filter applications (“Services”) to users. Users can generate unique content (which may include your own user generated content “UGC”) for sharing, entertainment purposes.

Free Trial Cancellation

Q: How to cancel 3-days trial?

A: When you sign up for free trial, you are immediately subscribed to annual subscription plan after the end of 3-days free trial.

If you decided during free trial that this is not for you, you have to cancel your subscription before the end of 3-days trial, in order not to get charged.

To cancel your subscription, please follow these steps:

Open the App Store app
Tap your account (top right corner). You will be asked to sign in if you have not done so.
Tap on Subscription.
Tap on 'HappyToon- Cartoon Your Photos'
Tap on "Happy Toon 3-Days Free Trial"
Tap "Cancel subscription"

Refund

Q: My credit card has been billed. How can I request refund?

A: Since Apple is the payment processor for all the transactions on App Store, please contact Apple for refund request. Please check out this article here.

Q: Can you offer me refund directly?

A: No. Please contact Apple directly. HappyToon does not process users' payment directly.

Privacy

Q: What would you do with our Uploaded Content?

A: HappyToon does not use your photos and facial features for any reason other than to provide you with the face-animation, cartoonification, filters functionalities of HappyToon. In no way will HappyToon use your photos and facial features for face recognition, as HappyToon does not posses technical means for the processing of biometric data for the unique identification or authentication of a user.

Q: Are my photos safe?

A: Yes. Your photos are stored on the HappyToon’s server up till the end of your 'cartoonification/animation' session. We exercise our best endeavors to delete your photos instantly from the server, right after the processed content is downloaded to your phone.

Q: How long are my photos stored in the server?

A: Not longer than 1 hour after the end of your session.
For the rest of the time, your photos used in HappyToon application are stored locally on your mobile device.
They can be removed any time by either deleting these photos from your mobile device’s file system directly or by uninstalling HappyToon application.

Intellectual property

Q: Who owns the Intellectual property?

At the foundation, HappyToon is a virtual playground for everyone to stay happier. Our contents are meant for entertainment purposes to enrich life, not the opposite. The Uploaded Content belongs to the original copyrights holders, which includes users. Also, we take a step further to delete your original uploaded content once you decide to end the session.

Whereas all Uploaded Content (including UGCs) belong to the community. That said, please do not upload or create any content that is against the prevailing laws of any countries.

Monetization of Content

Q: Do you monetize our content?

A: We do not monetize your Uploaded Content, and we exercise the best endeavors to delete it once you end the session. However, for optimization of user experience, all Generated Content (including UGCs) belong to the community. We may use it for optimization purposes to deliver better user experience to you.

Sharing on other Platforms

Q: Can I share my Generated Content to other platforms?

A: Yes, of course. We encourage all users to embrace creativity, authenticity and be proactive in expressing themselves. We grant you non-exclusive, non-transferable rights to publish all Generated Content provided it does not violate any prevailing laws in any countries.
